odd noises in my head

i think i smell a revolution

everytime that i see a headline like this in the paper, i start to see russia crumbling before my very own eyes. i was watching this thing on the history channel the other day. it was about the czars. and they talked about how the whole russian empire had started with peter's quest to make russia as good as any european empire.

and the same sort of notion has remained in the years since. but russia always sort of fails. i guess that if you want to be as good as everyone else, you are admitting to yourself that you aren't as good now. and maybe russia just isn't as good as everyone else.

but ... they do have a lot of nuclear weapons. and that can be a real problem, especially if your country is falling apart at the seams, which it seems to be doing.

the suicide bombings? well ... get used to it. it might be the path to freedom for the oppressed for years to come. and it merely foreshadows what could be done with the nuclear weapons when the people finally take hold of russia, as they have been trying to do since before peter the great.

i really don't know what i am talking about. i am very tired, though. so ... i must go to sleep now.
