odd noises in my head

still not going to get my vote ... but it's a start

this is a nice change in pace, if you don't want dubya in the white house, and i don't. but just as i was telling miss ashalee earlier tonight, i am not down to vote for kerry at all. his war history was always a sore spot for me, i just don't think that i want to live in a society so determined by war. and no, i may not plan on moving away quite yet, but i plan on letting my voice be heard ... by anyone that will listen.

so really, there never was a chance for kerry to get my vote. i remember telling bonny jean that last year. and as things went on, and i learned that he did a lot to protest vietnam after his return, i started to soften. but as his stance on the iraq war softened, mine in turn got much more agro.

for this election, if you want my vote, you better be anti-war. and really, unless your name is bill bradley, you should probably just give up. well ... i will most likely vote for nader. i don't think that nader should be president, but he is anti-war and a member of a third party. and yeah, i have said it before ... but if i am throwing my vote away, i am going to throw it away for something i believe in.

so to me, voting for nader is a lot like just voting for a third party, but that's not the point of this entry.

i really did love clinton. and i know, i have learned enough to know that he was not really the man that i thought he was as a president, but i loved him still. i would still vote for him, and i would still say that he was the greatest president of all time. would you ever know that i am a registered republican? but yeah ... cause i am all about that shit.

but i do think that kerry is right to go to clinton. if kerry is going to win, or at least get me to vote for him, he needs to prove that he is different than dubya. i could really give a fuck less about the stupid fucking war on terror. and the only thing i want to hear about iraq is that the united states is no longer going to take part in nation building, and that the troops are coming home.

so this is my shopping list: no on the war; yes on gay marriage; yes on stem cell research; yes on more taxes and the roll back of dubya's targeted tax breaks; yes on a progressive environmental policy; yes on a radically different foriegn policy -- which means the end of the era of pushing "democracy" on other nations. and really, it would be awesome if there was a president that supported the recreational use of marijuana, but i am trying to be realistic.

i could care less about the economy and the solutions to economic problems. i just think that rich fuckers should have to pay a lot more money. but i want to know that he is a different man. and kerry really needs to stop being such a fucking wussy. if he can't stand up to bush, he can't really stand up at all. that's like einstein bowing down to corky, it just don't fly.

when the fuck are we just going to have communists, socialists, anarchists and true democrats all in the mix? none of these people are represented in the political system right now. we just have the two parties of spineless moderates. people should disagree. that's how we get something out of this stupid fucking process. and if there is no room for variety, there is no room for freedom, plain and simple.

oh ... whatever. i am going to shut the fuck up right now.
