first news story of wednesday. i wonder how all of this unfold. will rumsfeld really turn out to be the scapegoat? and do i really believe that bush didn't want the torture?

one thing's for sure, it was torture, no matter what anyone says about it. now ... was it uncalled for? now that's a different question. i would say yes, but i would be more tolerant of an argument that came out and said it, rather than the 'deny, deny, deny' policy that seems to be in effect here.
